ST HELENS Chamber's newly appointed chief executive says she will "aim to make a real difference to the lives and businesses of local people".
Tracy Mawson has been named as the business organisation's new chief executive.
She will officially take up the post - succeeding the long-serving Kath Boullen - on September 1, following nine years as deputy at the chamber's Salisbury Street headquarters.
During her time at St Helens Chamber, Tracy has led the business services department and more recently the education and careers guidance services.
Prior to joining the chamber, she worked as head of strategy for the North West Regional Development Agency and held a range of business development commercial roles.

Gary Charlton, chairman of St Helens Chamber, led the recruitment and said there had been a "rigorous selection process".
He said: "On behalf of the board I would like to welcome Tracy to her new role at the chamber and look forward to working closely with her in the years to come.”Outgoing chief executive will be retiring in September after almost 30 years at the Chamber. She has been chief executive since 1998.
