THREE men have been arrested after a stolen car crashed into a police car in Haydock and was chased down the East Lancs Road.
Police pursued the stolen Golf in the early hours of this morning (Friday, June 26).
The car had been taken in an overnight burglary in Chorley on Monday.
Shortly after 1.30am the Golf R collided with a police vehicle patrolling the East Lancashire Road near to Haydock Lane.

The vehicle which was pursued alongside the East Lancashire Road was eventually brought to a stop on the wrong side of the road near to Kirkby.
Officers have arrested three men, aged 18, 21 and 24, following the pursuit, on suspicion of burglary.
The three suspects were detained and taken into custody as part of the investigation.
