PLANS to turn the ground floor of a former pub building into flats have been given the go-ahead.

Proposals have been submitted to convert the former Oddfellows Arms pub on Parr Stocks Road.

The ground floor, which has been used for retail premises, will be turned into two self-contained flats.

There is already residential space to the side and first floor of the building.

Ina report, planning officer Daley Parsonage said: "The application building has had some alterations previously with the conversion of the first floor to residential and a two storey dwelling attached to the eastern side elevation.

"The proposal in terms of comings and goings will have less of an impact on these properties than the consented retail use."
