A WELL known Cheshire golfer has ended a 15-year wait for his 15th hole-in-one.
The latest ace for Andrew Murray came on the par-three 12th hole at The Mere Golf Resort in Knutsford.
Murray, who lives in Lymm, is a true legend of golf in the county after enjoying a career on the European Tour in which he won the European Championship.
He began the sport at Didsbury, where he was junior captain, and is now a life member there playing regularly in their competitions off a +2 handicap.
Andrew moved on to Bramhall Golf Club as assistant professional to Brian Nield before going on the European Tour for several years.
After leaving the Tour Andrew has made a big mark with his charity days which have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for deserving charities.
He has become a respected coach and golf tour organiser as well as regular golf broadcaster and after-dinner speaker among many other golfing roles.
Andrew was delighted to end his long hole-in-one drought when he was playing in a four-ball with Mere captain Sean Finlay and friends John Atkins and George Seddon.
