A THELWALL garden will opens each year for charity is planning a different event for 2020.

Laskey Farm opens its garden under the National Garden Scheme (NGS), It typically welcomes 800 visitors raising up to £12,000.

With the slight easing of lockdown the NGS has issued guidelines to allow the safe opening of larger gardens

So organisers therefore decided to open the garden every Thursday and Saturday from June to August (starting this, Thursday, June 11) to individuals or households by appointment between 1pm and 5pm.

Enjoy 1.5 acres of mature garden as well as cold and warm water ponds, a treehouse, a variety of fish, turtles and chickens. There will be plants for sale and a kids’ treasure hunt.

Warrington Guardian:

The usual tea and cakes won’t be on but guests can bring their own refreshments plus a rug to sit on, while gazebos will be up if it is not too windy

Access is strictly by appointment to comply with social distancing and to control numbers

There is plents of car parking but organisers would prefer it if people made their visit part of their daily walk or cycle ride if possible

Cash entry is £5 per adult (children under 16 free); no change given

All proceeds to the NGS who are understandably focussing on nursing charities this year
