Parking enforcement in Trafford will be restarting as lockdown restrictions begin to be eased.
Trafford Council took the decision not to enforce residents only parking while lockdown took place.
However, with more shops and businesses reopening, the Council will restart parking enforcement of residents permits and other areas across the borough to try and keep locations save, as well as supporting permit holders.
Cllr James Wright, Trafford Council Executive Member for Housing and Regeneration, said: “It’s important that we ensure that cars are parked correctly and safely, especially now that we are seeing more and more traffic on our roads again.”
The Council will initially be issuing advisory notices for a period of two weeks from Monday 8 June. It has also asked permit holders whose permit has expired to visit the Council website for information on how to renew a permit or obtain a visitor card.
All parking restrictions in place across the borough will be monitored, with enforcement starting from June 22 .
