THE McDonald's drive-thru at Chalon Way, St Helens Linkway and Earlestown have re-opened this morning, Wednesday.
For those who cannot wait to visit the fast food chain, there will be a number of new safety procedures in place.
McDonald’s and its franchisees are working closely with local authorities and police, and may determine that it is necessary to close drive-thru lanes if queues cause disruption at busier sites or put employees or customers at risk.
There will also be social distancing in the kitchens, Perspex screens at drive-thru windows, employees wearing protective equipment and contactless thermometres to take employees' temperatures on arrival for every shift.
Although the restaurants are open for business, they will be offering a limited menu and reduced opening hours.

McDonald's is also encouraging capped spending for drive-thru and McDelivery at £25 per order, and customers should pay by contactless payment methods,
For those visiting drive-thrus, customers can browse the menu, order and pay ahead using the My McDonald’s App
