With the easing of lockdown restrictions now allowing the rehoming of animals, we are delighted to restart dog of the week!

NAME: Rambler

BREED: Foxhound

AGE: 7

Dogs Trust Merseyside are on the lookout for a new forever home for fabulous Foxhound, Rambler.

This seven-year-old loves to get out and about but enjoys relaxing with his two-legged friends too, so he would be more than happy to share his home with children aged ten and over.

Rambler loves the sound of his own voice so the team are looking for a rural home for him where he won’t disturb the neighbours and where he can head out on great walks.

Wirral Globe:

Georgina Lowery, Dogs Trust Merseyside Manager, says: “Rambler is a fabulous chap with a wonderful character and his new family will be very lucky to have him!

"He is available via our new ‘Handover at Home’ service so if anybody thinks Rambler could be the four-legged friend they are looking for, please give us a call.”

Dogs Trust Merseyside is still closed to walk-in members of the public. However, recent changes in the government guidance means that from June 1 the team can now book appointments for those dogs who can’t be rehomed using the centre’s new ‘Handover at Home’ process.

Potential new owners will be able to meet the dog they are interested in rehoming at the centre in an outside play area, or in a spacious area that is separate from the main rehoming centre such as a training barn, whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines.
