THIS was the scene after an Amazon lorry crashed into a railway bridge.
The HGV became stuck under the bridge over Orford Road following the collision shortly after 10.30am yesterday, Thursday.
Cheshire Police and British Transport Police attended the scene, with the road closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Highways Agency and Network Rail worked to clear the route, which was reopened at around 12.30pm.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At 10.35am, officers were called to reports that a HGV was stuck under a railway bridge on Orford Road.
“Officers from Cheshire and BTP attended the scene, and the road was closed while crews dealt with the incident.
“Highways Agency and Network Rail attended the scene to recover the vehicle, and the road was cleared at around 12.30pm.”
