AN elderly woman was taken to hospital with a hand injury after a car driven by an 80-year-old man knocked her to the ground.
Officers were called to the scene on Stanhope Street just before 3.30pm on Saturday, May 23 to a report a green Mazda van had moved backwards, knocking a woman to the floor.
The woman sustained a hand injury and was taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged later the same day.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 80s, has been spoken to by police.
