Fire crews were called to a possible arson incident in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters from Bolton Central Fire Station were called out to the rear of Carlisle Street, in Bromley Cross, at 4.30am this morning.
They were called to a van that had been set on fire. The blaze spread to three garages, destroying one of them.
Bolton Central Crew Manager, Andy Berry, confirmed that crews were in attendance at the incident for over an hour and a half.
He said: "It was a van fire that spread to garages. A wooden garage was totally destroyed with superficial damage caused to the others as we dealt with the fire."
Mr Berry said the incident was being treated as a possible arson with police currently investigating the scene.
