FIREFIGHTERS are dealing with a blaze at grassland tonight.
Crews were called to open space at land off Fleet Lane, Parr at 10.30pm on Friday.
Three fire engines were initially called to tackle the flames, which covered an area measuring 50metres by 30metres.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said that by shortly after 11pm the response had been scaled back to two engines.
Onlookers reported seeing flames coming from land between Parr and Bold.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet and beaters to extinguish the fire.
Crews left the scene at 11.21pm
