THOUSANDS of revellers would have been flocking to Victoria Park this weekend for the Neighbourhood Weekender 2020 had it not been for the coronavirus pandemic.

Acts including hometown hero Ian Brown, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Miles Kane, Sam Fender and the Coral were set to play the festival today and tomorrow.

They will instead be coming to Warrington in September as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, with original tickets remaining valid for these dates.

The weekender has become a real hit with music fans since it first debuted in 2018.

Festivalgoers basked in the sunshine during the inaugural Neighbourhood and enjoyed performances from artists including Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, the Courteeners, Blossoms and Jake Bugg.
