A 19-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after a moped failed to stop after a collision with a cyclist.
Police were called after the collision on Station Road, Garswood on Sunday afternoon (May 10).
The cyclist, a 27-year-old man, from Ashton-in-Makerfield, suffered small lacerations and swelling to a leg, hand and arm, say police.
A police helicopter was also used to help search for a suspect.
A 19-year-old man from Ashton-in-Makerfield was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle dangerously, while unfit through drugs, failing to stop after a road traffic accident and possession of a Class B drug.
He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
