Staff at a west Dorset medical practice are in urgent need of disposable scrubs.

Barton House in Beaminster is appealing for anyone who may be able to donate any to protect staff and patients after they were unable to get some from its supplier.

A spokesman for Barton House Medical Practice said: “In order to keep our staff and patients as safe as possible, we have been trying to get hold of some disposable scrubs for our clinical team to wear when seeing patients to avoid cross contamination between patients and to avoid the member of staff wearing potentially contaminated clothing home to their families.

“Unfortunately, our order from our supplier could not be fulfilled, so we were hoping that there may be someone who knows of any vets, dentists or anyone else that might be able to donate some spare scrubs to us.

“If you are able to help, we would greatly appreciate it.”

Those who can help can call the practice on 01308 861938 and ask for Jemma or Tracy.

The medical practice will be open on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
