A TEACHER at Cowley International College has 3D printed more than 80 face marks for NHS frontline staff.
IT teacher Rob Jones, has spent the last few days in the college using a 3D printer to make 80 protective masks for NHS staff.
The masks
This follows a shortage of PPE equipment across the country for frontline staff, with many businesses turning their hand to make the protective items for NHS staff.
The first shipment were delivered yesterday afternoon and will go into hospitals and ICU's around St Helens from today.
The 3D printers
Mr Jones is aiming to make more than 30 masks every day over the Easter holidays against an initial order of 350.
These will be shipped to the ICUs every three days in batches of 100.
