COWLEY School has donated equipment to Whiston Hospital to aid frontline staff during the coronavirus outbreak.
The school has donated 180 goggles and hundreds of disposable gloves to the hospital as part of the effort.
Meanwhile, Cowley has also used 3D printing equipment to help create face shields as part of the effort by Eccleston Community Support Group.
The Star reported how members of the Eccleston community have rallied to create face masks to help NHS staff.
Eccleston-based GP Greg Irving put out a request on the Eccleston Community Support Group and within hours 3D printed face shields were on the frontline thanks to the quick response by the community.
On their donation, Cowley School said: "We are proud to be doing our bit right now, we are donating 180 safety goggles and more than 600 disposable gloves to Whiston Hospital to boost stocks of PPE for our frontline medical staff.
"On top of this, we are supporting the Eccleston Community Support Group by attempting to create 350 face masks using our 3D printers for the NHS.
"Shout out to our Science department and 3D printing guru, Mr Jones, who will be making the masks."
