MORE than £17,700 has been raised for Willowbrook amid the coronavirus lockdown to help them keep caring for those at the end of their lives.
At the outbreak of the covid-19 virus, Willowbrook Hospice issued an appeal for help to keep them going.
This is down to them not being able to open their charity shops, or hold fundraisers which keep them going through donations.
Since then they have set up a fundraising page on their website, with people including the Steven Gerrard Foundation donating funds to allow them to keep their doors open.
Thanking donors, the hospice said: "Wow! The support has been overwhelming since we launched our appeal.
"Your donations are very important to us particularly at this difficult time but please not that access to the hospice is currently very restricted."
