THERE are currently 72 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in St Helens, according to the latest figures.
Daily figure updates from Public Health England show that there are 72 confirmed cases of coronavirus in St Helens, and six confirmed deaths due to the virus.
Across the country there are 29,474 confirmed cases of the pandemic, and 2,352 deaths in total.
Of those death figures 2,166 apply to England, 60 in Scotland, 98 in Wales and 28 in Northern Ireland.
As of yesterday the confirmed death toll in a 24-hour period was 563.
