A SUSPECT has been charged after the police helicopter was deployed in a car chase with officers.
Police attempted to pull over a Ford Transit van shortly after 1.30am on Friday, March 27, near to junction seven of the M62 at Rainhill.
But the vehicle, which had false registration plates, sped off and a pursuit followed.
This van was later found dumped on Mitchell Lane in Burtonwood and a man was arrested in a resident’s garden.
Liam Baldwin, of Pollitt Crescent, Clock Face, has since been charged with failing to provide a breath test.
He is now due to appear before Warrington Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 14, in order to face this charge.
The 30-year-old has been released on unconditional bail until that date.
