THE number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Cheshire has risen to more than 100, according to the latest Public Health England data.
The figures from Saturday, March 28, show there have been a total of 104 confirmed cases across the Cheshire area - 42 cases in Cheshire East, 31 in Cheshire West and Chester, 19 in Warrington and 12 in Halton.
This is an increase of 19 cases from yesterday, March 27.
The latest figures from public health officials show that, as of 9am on March 28, 17,089 tests across the UK were confirmed as positive.
Today, sees biggest day-on-day rise in the number of deaths because, as of 5pm on March 27, 1,019 people who tested positive for COVID-19 have lost their lives to the virus.
