PLANS to convert a retail unit to a cafe which sparked objections have been withdrawn.
Proposals were submitted to change the use of the premises at 5 Rainford Road, Billinge by applicant Mr J Coyle.
The application stated the existing retail unit offers storage and sales of alcohol products.
Plans said there would be no preparation of food onsite.
Proposed opening hours would be 7.30am to 9pm each day.
The plans led to several letters of objection being written.
One stated: "There is not enough space this area, parking is already horrendous plus noise will be a big issue".
The parish council expressed reservations about the proposed external seating area, saying it would be "feet away" from one property.
Case officer Daley Parsonage confirmed the plans had been withdrawn. The applicant was asked to discuss any revisions with the officer if they wished to resubmit.
