NORTHERN has announced amended timetables designed to keep key workers on the move through the second week of lockdown.

Changes have been made to the timetables following feedback from key workers and stakeholders – with more services added in some areas to better help people get where they need to be.

The services remain for key workers only and the advice to everyone else is still - unless your journey is essential – stay at home.

Full details of Northern’s timetables for Monday, March 30 to Saturday, April 4 can be found via National Rail Enquiries.

Northern said: "Everyone at Northern is working to provide the best possible rail service during this difficult time, but it is simply not possible to operate our usual timetable.

"Where we are not able to run trains, we will seek to provide rail replacement road transport.

"We will continue to do all we can to keep key workers on the move and hope you will also continue to play your part by only travelling on Northern services when it is absolutely necessary.
