A MAN in his 20s suffered a wound to his arm following a daylight attack.

Police were called to a house on Robins Lane in Sutton at 3.10pm on Saturday, March 21, following the assault.

The victim was found at the property with a "laceration" wound to his arm.

He was taken to hospital for treatment for his injury.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 3.10pm on Saturday, March 21 following reports a man in his 20s had been assaulted in St Helens.

"Officers were called to a house on Robins Lane by the North West Ambulance Service and found a man with a laceration wound to his arm.

"The man has been taken to hospital for treatment for his injury which is not believed to be life threatening.

"An investigation is underway and enquiries are being carried out in the local area."
