THREE teenagers will get on their bikes for a very good cause next month.

Friends Charlie Wilson and Tom Coates, from Sutton, Owen Price, from Cronton, all 19, will take on a 120-mile course from St Helens to Anglesey.

The trio will depart from the Mill House pub on Sunday, April 4 and cycle all the way to Trearddur Bay in Anglesey.

Their efforts will aid the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), an organisation they wanted to help in particular.

Saints fans Charlie and Tom decided to do something following the diagnosis of former rugby league player Rob Burrow with MND in December.

Also, Tom's auntie, Sheena Coates passed away aged 45 in 2014 after having been diagnosed with motor neurone disease the previous year.

The three have already been training hard ahead of the challenge and are raring to go.

"They're big rugby league supporters and with Rob Burrow having been diagnosed they decided they wanted to do something about it," said Charlie's mum Donna.

"They decided before Christmas to do it.

"It is 120 miles and it is all in one day and will be about eight hours.

"Tom's aunt Sheena was diagnosed in 2013, it took years to diagnose he.

"The MNDA gave support to her husband. She has been very much in Tom's mind.

"That's the motivation in getting them through it."

Donna added: "The aim is to get as much awareness to help raise money for research."
