A 47-YEAR-OLD man who drove a tipper van while over the alcohol limit and while disqualified has been jailed.
John Michael Dooley, of Robinson Place, St Helens was sentenced at Merseyside Magistrates' Court.
On February 6 Dooley drove a Ford Transit tipper van in Liverpool while under the influence of excess alcohol.
He also drove the vehicle while disqualified and without a licence.
He was given a 12-week jail sentence for driving while disqualified and a concurrent eight week sentence for the drink driving offence.
No separate penalty was imposed for driving without a licence.
He has been disqualified from holding a licence for 36 months and must pay a £122 surcharge.
