ST HELENS Council has given an update on roads which had been closed due to floods.
On Monday, the council said Peasley Cross Lane (under the bridge) had barriers down and was closed while engineers assessed the area. The road has now been reopened, the council confirmed.

Meanwhile, College Street in the Gerards Park industrial estate area, had been closed but is now back open again.
Meanwhile, United Utilities are still in the area for ongoing work at Baxters Lane bridge (near to Morrisons).
A St Helens Council statement on Tuesday afternoon said: "College Street and Peasley Cross Road are open again but there is ongoing work by United Utilities at Baxters Lane bridge."
