A 25-YEAR-OLD man charged with ABH in connection with an assault outside a nightclub has appeared in court.

Aaron Hickey, of Mersey Street, Parr appeared before Merseyside Magistrates' Court.

Hickey has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in connection with an alleged assault outside Bar 44 on Westfield Street, St Helens in the early hours of June 3, 2019.

The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court where Hickey will next appear on Monday, March 2.

Hickey was granted conditional bail until then.
