CAN Saints produce a famous performance and topple the mighty Sydney Roosters to become rugby league’s World Club Champions?
It’s going to be a tall order but it is an exciting prospect for the town to be hosting such a heavyweight clash and big occasion.
Clearly, Kristian Woolf’s team are underdogs but the history books show that Saints have proved themselves capable of beating Australia’s best.
The memories of former captains Chris Joynt and Paul Sculthorpe (see pull-out preview in centre of this week's Star) are evidence of this.
For Saint fans it is a night to create a raucous atmosphere inside their home stadium.
Hopefully a blast of good old Northern winter weather will also arrive and work in the favour of the men in the red-vee.
Come on you Saints.
