EARLESTOWN band The K’s have a jam packed year ahead – with tours, gigs and new singles meaning it’s all on the go for a group on the rise.

The four-piece band, Jamie Boyle, Ryan Breslin, Dexter Baker and Jordan Holden, have an exciting 2020 ahead of them after gigging across the UK before Christmas.

The band, fronted by 24-year-old Jamie, was started with his childhood friend Dexter while they were at St Aelred’s Technology College. Ryan and Jordan – the only member not from the borough – joined them afterwards.

St Helens Star:

They credit hometown support for their quick success and will be playing on the main stage at Warrington’s Neighbourhood Weekender in May.

Jamie said: “Everything is going amazing to be honest, we just sold out The Ritz (Manchester) a few weeks ago and all but one of our tour gigs are fully booked already.

“Following tour we will be in the recording studio for our single Hoping Maybe and then we’ve got festivals up and down the country like the Neighbourhood Weekender, which we played at last year but we are on the main stage this time, and we are playing other festivals too like Kendal Calling, Hit the North and Rewired in London and Leeds, and honestly so many more it’s crazy.

“We love it though and we love how there is always an Earlestown fan base of 100 people that follow us, even if it’s to London.

St Helens Star:

"The community really has our backs. We are loving every second of this, we are booked all the time and doing really well. We’ve got no specific goal per se just going to keep going, it’s about the music for us.

"We just love it. We will keep going and keep pushing ourselves to new goals all the time. We are playing the right places and getting the fans to come and watch and if they are happy then we are happy.”

The K’s instantly caught the attention of music lovers with their signature tune and instant hit, Sarajevo.

It hit one million listens on Spotify before they even signed a record deal with Alan McGee’s Creation23 label.
McGee was the man who discovered Oasis.
