POLICE have released details of some arrests they made in St Helens town centre on Tuesday.
Officers in uniform and plain clothes from St Helens Local Policing were in the town centre.
A knife arch was also utilised at St Helens bus station and St Helens Central train station.

Police arrested one man on suspicion of theft of toys from The Works on Church Street, St Helens.
A 29-year-old man from Fingerpost was arrested and subsequently charged with theft. He was also further arrested in connection with two other offences under investigation
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man from Haresfinch was arrested and charged in connection with two thefts, one from Boots, Church and one from The Card factory in the Hardshaw Centre.
He was also charged with possession of cannabis.
Also, a man from Runcorn was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods after an alleged attempt to sell a plain clothes officers branded perfumes.
The suspect has been released under investigation.
Officers also conducted a number of stop and searches during the day.
