EARLESTOWN band The K’s are among the new acts added to the Warrington Neighbourhood Weekender line-up.

SJM Concerts – the organiser of the festival – has unveiled its second wave of artists to a bill that already boasts headline sets by Ian Brown and Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Paul Heaton and St Helens-born Jacqui Abbott are among the other big names.

For The K’s it is a chance to perform on the big stage.

The four-piece of Jamie Boyle (guitar and lead vocals), Ryan Breslin (lead guitar), Dexter Baker (bass) and Jordan Holden (drums) formed in 2017.

They have already played some of the most exciting venues around the north west such as Manchester’s Gorilla and Deaf Institute and played to several thousand at the DW Stadium in Wigan.

The Earlestown lads, regulars of The Sunbeam pub in Old Wargrave Road, are fast establishing themselves as one of the most exciting prospects on the indie scene.

Other new artists for the festival in Warrington’s Victoria Park include 90s Britpop icons Cast and Australia's Gang of Youths.

Other acts include Snuts, Zuzu, Nasty Cherry, Lauran Hibberd, The Hara, Cassia, Dylan John Thomas, Lona and Talk Show.

They will join the likes of The Wombats, Sam Fender, Shed Seven, Miles Kane, The Coral and Tom Walker on May 23 and 24.

Tickets, including VIP packages, for Neighbourhood Weekender are on sale now at nbhdweekender.com.
