A GADGET shop chain which closed a temporary store this month says it hopes to return to St Helens ahead of next Christmas.

MenKind launched a temporary premises at Church Square Shopping Centre last November.

The shop's tenure came to an end with doors having closed on Sunday, February 2.

Signs were put up announcing the closure.

The temporary shop took over the empty former Grainger Games unit in the shopping centre, which had been vacant since its closure in March 2018.

After the closure, managing director at Menkind, Simon Calvert said: "The Menkind pop-up shop in St Helens allowed us to bring our customers a unique selection of gifts over the busy Christmas period, including the latest gadgets, licensed merchandise and many other exciting products.

"We understand how important it is to choose the perfect gift for your loved ones (or for yourself), so we wanted to give our customers the best holiday shopping experience possible – and our seasonal pop-up stores have helped us do just that.

"We were pleased to see a positive response from shoppers across the country.

"Throughout the rest of the year, an equally diverse product offering of gifts and gadgets is available to buy from our online store at menkind.co.uk and we hope to return next Christmas."
