A teenager was arrested
POLICE arrested a 17-year-old boy in Prescot after a hammer was allegedly discarded during a foot chase.
Officers patrolling the Prescot area attempted to stop a boy shortly after 8pm on Saturday on Layton Way.
During the incident the boy reportedly made off and a hammer was allegedly discarded.
A teenager was detained a short distance away on Kemble Street.
During a search a quantity of cannabis was found and seized.
A teenage suspect was taken into custody.
