1 South Lakes Rock School has a new singing group for children aged five-11 called the South Lakes Belters.

The group will be on from 4.15pm-5.10pm every Friday during term time.

Children will take part in vocal warm-ups and work on their vocal technique.

Lessons will be held at The Great Hall, Rawlinson Street, Barrow.

2 Head to The Coro, Ulverston, tonight for a talk from Professor Mike Berners-Lee.

The talk will explore the environmental and economic challenges that we face and the changes we can make to help save our only planet.

The Newton Arms, Dalton, are holding their first singles night tonight from 7.30pm.

5 The Kendal Castle Aquathon will be taking place tomorrow.

The event will start with a 400m swim in the pool, a transition to a 5km off-road run, woodland trails and grassy slopes around the castle ruins before returning to the centre for a brew.

6 Trinity Church, Barrow, are holding a men's breakfast event this Saturday.

The event is held every second Saturday of each month from 9am-10am.

Bacon and sausage buns will be served along with lots of tea and coffee.

There is no fee towards the breakfast, but contributions are always welcomed.

Schneider Road Community Hub's 'Nerf Warriors' will take place this Sunday between 3pm-5pm.

The event will include target practice and team games for children aged 6 and over.
