WITH the new season under way, one young Wolves superfan has been reliving the moment Ben Westwood presented him with his Challenge Cup winners' medal.
Sam Morris, six, was one of thousands of Warrington Wolves fans to line the streets in August for the team's homecoming parade.
The Morris family, from Orford, were waiting patiently to see the players make their appearance as they travelled through the town centre to the town hall.
Mum Sharon said: "We'd gone to see the homecoming parade because all the children play rugby and we were sat right at the front.
"We'd seen Ben before and he'd always been friendly with the kids.

"We clocked him looking over and I was thinking, 'why is he looking at us?'
"Then he's just pointing and I'm looking around and we saw him taking his medal off and he put it on Sam and gave him a kiss.
"It made such a difference that it was his last one too, he didn't have to to do it."
Rugby fan Sam, dressed in his full Wolves kit and sporting blue hair, was thrilled with the gesture and the medal is now displayed proudly in the family home.
The youngster was treated to a further surprise when the Wolves legend turned up at his door to play catch with the family.
The meeting has lead to even more opportunities for Sam to talk to his hero.
Sharon explained: "I just think, 'what a guy'.
"Ben is always so understanding and he said he just likes giving back to the community.
"Everytime he sees Sam now he always comes up and makes a beeline for him.
"All the players are so nice with him- they don't treat him differently.
"Having that foundation really helps."
The whole Morris family is involved with rugby, with Sam's sister playing for the Warrington Wolves' under 16s and his brothers playing for Crosfields and Latchford.
Sam, who also loves Wolfie and Peppa Pig, is hoping to join in and play in the disability league in the future, sporting the blue and yellow he loves.
Even his hearing aids are blue and yellow, which are also the colours of Down Syndrome Awareness.
The family are looking forward to the new season and have their fingers' crossed for more positive results.
