SAINTS' 48-8 win over Salford was marred by a second half injury sustained by full back Lachlan Coote.
The 29-year-old limped off with a knee injury which will need a scan this week.
Coach Kristian Woolf believes the influential player has suffered a medial collatral ligament (MCL) injury.
He said: "We need to get that scanned but we are thinking MCL at the moment, what grade and how long we won't know until the swelling has gone a little bit and we get some scans."
On a more positive note Alex Walmsley's late withdrawal was just a stinger.
"Alex got a stinger, and there was no point keeping him out there," he said.
