A COLLISION just outside Llangollen led to the A5 being closed for more than three hours on Tuesday evening.
Traffic Wales confirmed the incident shortly after 4.30pm on Tuesday afternoon, with the news the road had reopened coming just before 8pm.
It is believed two vehicles were involved in the collision near to the Dee Valley Cottages, affecting traffic between Llangollen and Berwyn.
Emergency services are currently at the scene.
According to traffic reports, the road running north of the river through Rhewl and Llantysilio was also congested as drivers looked to use alternative routes.
