STAFF at dessert venue Kaspa's are celebrating after getting the highest possible food hygiene rating.
Last week, the Star reported how the Bridge Street venue had received the lowest possible score of one on Food Standards Agency’s website.
That rating, following an inspection, stated that the Kaspa's St Helens needs to make major improvements in the management of food safety and further improvement in the areas of hygienic food handling and cleanliness of the facilities.
This week it was confirmed that inspectors had carried out a further inspection and rescored the venue, giving them the highest possible result.
Commenting on the new rating, which features on the Food Standards Agency website, Brand Leader senior manager at Kaspa's St Helens, Michael Robinson, said: "Kaspa's St Helens are extremely pleased with the new management team and regaining our 5 STAR EHO rating
"Our new brand leader and store manager are committed to maintaining this success and the future of our lovely restaurant and fantastic staff
"We would like to thank St Helens EHO office and all our loyal customers for their support during this time."
