My first performance of 2020 went with a ‘swing' at Mulino Italian restaurant on Primrose Avenue in Urmston.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who came along, it was a pleasure to sing for you all. Thanks also to my good friend Jimmi Harkishin aka Dev from Coronation Street for coming and supporting the evening.

The night at Mulino was such a success that I have now been invited to have a residency by the owners Zola and Bia Martini, which I have accepted.

I will be performing on the second Thursday of each month.

So my next performance will be on Thursday the 13th of February at 8pm and I hope to see some of you there!

Don't forget to book a table if you are having a meal (to book ring 0161 286 7819) or if not you are welcome to use the bar.

I told you last week how I was saying yes to things this year that I would normally say no to, and in the spirit of my new year's resolution, when my Val invited me to do so, I signed up for a mindfulness and relaxation course run by Deborah Bond and her partner Dave Bent.

I went along to my first class on Saturday at Christ Church Hall in Davyhulme and I absolutely loved it! I spent a really relaxing hour doing something I wouldn't normally do.

I did get a lot from it and I also learned a few calming, relaxation techniques that I can use in my everyday life when I'm busy or stressed to stop, refocus and recharge.

So it was well worth going and I'm really looking forward to seeing what I will be learning at next week's class.

I'm looking forward to finishing off this week by performing for our Mayor of Trafford, Cllr. Rob Chilton for his Civic Reception.

It is always a pleasure to perform for our Mayor, whom I'm sure you'll agree has been a fantastic ambassador for our borough. I'll tell you all about that event next week!
