A WOMAN lost four stone after being forced to buy a pair of maternity pants to go to job interview.

Angela Stirrup says she felt "old and frumpy" after her weight spiralled out of control.

The 50-year-old said: "I never dreamed of joining any kind of slimming group, and I had reached the point where I just couldn’t find anything to fit me.

"I felt penalised - as if being 6ft tall wasn’t bad enough being the weight I was meant I couldn’t get jeans or trousers to fit me.

"The turning point for me was having to buy a pair of maternity pants to go for a job interview as nothing else was big enough whilst still being the right length.

"I realised then that I needed to do something about this and I remembered my friends telling me about Slimming World years ago and all the food you could eat on the plan.

"I found my local group which was in the social club next door to my house in Woolton and after losing 4 stone and being at my target weight for over a year I decided to help others achieve their dream target weight."

Angela has now set up her own group based in English Martyrs Church in Haydock on Saturday mornings at Saturdays 8.30am and 10.30am.
