A MAN from St Helens has been charged in connection with an incident in which alleged threats to petrol bomb an amusements arcade in Warrington town centre were made.
Police were called to Shaws Amusements on Horsemarket Street, Warrington at around 7.15pm on Monday, January 20, after receiving reports of a man behaving aggressively.

He was reportedly threatening to petrol bomb the premises after being asked to leave due to drunkenness.

Stephen Mercer, of Swan Avenue, Derbyshire Hill has since been charged with drunk and disorderly behaviour in connection with the incident.
The 35-year-old is now due to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court today, Tuesday.
