UNITED Utilities have sent engineers after residents in Newton-le-Willows lost water supplies due to a leak today (Wednesday).
A leak on Junction Lane has caused water supplies to be affected in the area.
Residents have either lost supplies or have water coming out of their taps slower than usual.

At 1.52pm, United Utilities said: "Repairs to the burst water main on Junction Lane are ongoing and our team will continue to work on this until repairs are complete.
We apologise for the trouble this may be causing you and thank you for your patience."
An earlier United Utilities statement at 11.56am said: "A leak on Junction Lane affecting customers in WA12, has been spotted and reported to us.
"We’ve been out to investigate and found this to be the cause of some of you having no water or just a trickle.
"Our leakage engineers have been requested and should be on site as soon as possible.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience and will update this message when the team arrive on site."
