Saints star's partner and Hollyoaks' Jamie Lomas to bring acting school to the borough

Simone Clark co-owns First Take School of Acting for Kids which is a weekly intensive young actor training school based in Media City in Salford and also Warrington.

Now, alongside co-owner Jamie Lomas, known for playing Warren Fox on Hollyoaks, they are bringing First Take School of Acting to the borough to nurture the TV, stage and screen stars of tomorrow.

Mum-of-two Simone, 31, said: "I live in St Helens with my partner Alex and our two sons, so it just makes sense really to bring First Take School of Acting to the borough as well because I have been asked by so many people where their children can have similar training.

"My background is in acting, and I also have a business degree, so Jamie always jokes and says I'm the brains and he Jamie is front of house, getting other actors to come in and host talks and everything and we get a lot of support from Alex too.

"We think it's really important to do this for people in this area as well, this is our home and there are so many young talented people wanting the advice and support to get them to where they want to be."

First Take School of Acting St Helens branch is based at De La Salle High School and has two classes for ages five to nine from 5pm to 6.30pm and from ages 10 to 14 from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Simone, who lives in Eccleston with Alex and their sons Atticus and Cassius, added: "The classes are really fun, the kids can let loose and be kids but also learn how to use their skills to help them in the future.

"Our sons are still very little but when they are old enough they will be going to this too, but for now we just want to give back to the town."
