A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences following a police chase which travelled through the borough.
On Sunday night at around 7.30pm, police cars and a helicopter could be seen flying over the borough causing many to ask what was going on.
After a chase, which started in Cheshire, a suspected stolen red BMW and the driver were stopped outside The Blue Bell Inn on Rectory Road in Ashton-in-Makerfield.
The pursuit travelled through Garswood.
The suspect remains in custody for questioning.
