TEAMS of fire fighters were called to a blaze at a factory in Dorset today.
Three crews - including one from neighbouring Somerset - were called to the incident after a laminating unit caught fire in the Westbury area of Sherborne.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Both crews from the Sherborne fire station with assistance from the neighbouring brigades at Yeovil fire station were mobilised to a report of a fire in a commercial warehouse at Westbury in Sherborne.
"Crews confirmed a fire involving a laminating unit in the single floored warehouse.
"The fire was extinguished by the co2 venting system on site, and crews used two breathing apparatus wearers, one hose reel jet and one safety jet to ensure the fire was extinguished.
"A fan was used to ventilate the property and clear any smoke.
"The fire was confined to the machinery and is not believed to have affected the surrounding premises."
Nobody is believed to have been injured, the fire service said.
