A RETROSPECTIVE planning application has been submitted for temporary classrooms at a primary school after part of its roof caved in.
Brickwork collapsed at St Anne's Catholic Primary School on Monastery Lane, Sutton on the morning of Wednesday, October 30, leaving an entire upstairs classroom exposed to the elements.

The collapse took place during the autumn half-term break.
The school reopened the following Wednesday, with temporary classrooms in place.
The Archdiocese of Liverpool said an investigation has been launched into the cause of the collapse.
A planning application for three mobile classrooms has been submitted to the council.
A spokesman for the Archdiocese confirmed the plans relate to the roof collapse.
He said: "The planning application does refer to the incident at St Anne’s as planning approval is required for the temporary classrooms, but in this case the submission is necessarily retrospective.
"The current situation is that the children remain in the temporary accommodation whilst work continues to re-instate the damaged building."
