A GROUP of youths pushed a 15-year-old boy off his bike before stealing it.
Police were called to Elephant Lane, Thatto Heath on Friday, December 6 to reports of a bike robbery at around 8.15pm near to the Elephant pub.
The victim was uninjured but left shaken. Officers carried out a search of the area.
Enquiries are ongoing, including CCTV.
The bike is described as a white Lapierre mountain bike with double suspension.
Detective Inspector Yoseph Al-Ramadhan said: "This was a concerning incident which will have undoubtedly been distressing for the victim.
"The bike is not only valuable but distinctive, and we are determined to find those responsible and recover the bike.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask that anyone who saw a group of youths in the area, has home or business CCTV, or saw the incident itself, to come forward."
