A MAN who raped and sexually abused a girl three decades ago, a man who groomed a schoolgirl on Snapchat, a man who raped a child after his girlfriend arranged the offence and an organised cannabis dealing gang are among those who have been jailed over the past month.

James Prytherch

A 33-YEAR-OLD man who groomed a schoolgirl on Snapchat was jailed for six years.

James Prytherch, 33, exchanged various text messages and conversations on Snapchat with his victim, which became increasingly sexualised.

He began collecting her in his van and drove her to secluded locations during this year’s school summer holidays and they engaged in sexual activity.

A 27-year-old man who raped a vulnerable child after his girlfriend arranged for the horrific offence to take place.

Anthony Roscoe, from St Helens, was convicted of rape after his then girlfriend, who was 17 at the time, escorted the 12-year-old girl to his home.

A MAN who raped a teenage girl multiple times around three decades ago has been jailed for 14 years.

John Sydney Adam, of Fidler Street, Toll Bar was sent to jail at Liverpool Crown Court.

Adam, 69, was sentenced after he was found guilty of the historic offences following a trial.

MEMBERS of an organised crime group who rented properties in order to grow and supply cannabis have been jailed.

Four men who rented properties in St Helens, Runcorn and The Wirral in order to produce a widespread cannabis supply network have been sentenced to a total of 12 years and nine months.

The men would provide false documents under fabricated names to letting agents then move large equipment into the property to cultivate and produce cannabis.
