TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery at the Post Office on Junction Lane.

Thugs wearing facial coverings and dark clothing reportedly entered, before making threats to a shop assistant at 4.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, November 20).

One of the offenders reportedly jumped over the counter before they made off.

The shop assistant was left shaken, but uninjured, and enquiries are ongoing to establish if anything was stolen.

A short time later, two men were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

They have been taken to police stations for questioning.
